My research question is; what impact does exercising (physical activity) and healthy eating have among the youth. My research purpose is to find out the positive and negative aspects of exercise (physical activity) and healthy eating and the role of a nurse in promoting physical activity and a healthy lifestyle.
Exercise, physical activity, and fitness are distinct but interrelated concepts (Caspersen et al. 1985). Physical activity is any bodily movement produced by skeletal muscle, while exercise is planned and repeated physical activity that is structured into individuals’ lives with the purpose of maintaining or improving some attribute of either health or skill (i.e., fitness).

The five components of physical fitness include cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, muscular strength, flexibility, and body composition. I attended Pilates and Yoga classes due to the fact that I have yet to be cleared by my physician to do activities with unpredictable direction changes.

Physical activity is any movement of the body that is made by skeletal muscles and result in expenditure of energy, and exercise is a more specific type of work out.
